Avedøre Green City - We make Avedøre sustainable together!

"Avedøre Green City" is a visionary collaboration between citizens, companies, organizations and institutions that will make their area sustainable.

Based on the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals, concrete initiatives and projects have been created, are developed and executed in an interaction between citizens and organizations.
These projects include optimization and development of energy renovation, energy production, mobility, health, education, equal democracy, circular economy, job creation, equality, smart grid, climate adaptation and biodiversity.

In addition to the ambition of getting the area sustainable, Avedøre Green City wants at the same time to inspire and show the outside world what you can do and how far you can reach, if you want and dare. Therefore, an EXPLORATORIUM is set up in the district, which collects and disseminates all the experiences that have been made along the way.

Avedøre Green City is, in short, working towards a goal: To create innovative ways to live sustainably in Denmark. As a first "bid", an "Avedøre Green City Manual" is developed.
